Who are we?
Our community is formed by a group of AI researchers working for CEA List and their collaborators.
The creation and development of STREAMER is being supported by different collaborative projects and CEA List.
Head of the project
CEA
The French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) is a major European player in research, development and innovation. This technological research organisation is active in four main areas: energy, information technologies, health and defence. Located on the Saclay campus in the south of Ile de France, the Laboratoire d'Intégration des Systèmes et des Technologies (LIST) designs intelligent digital systems. Its 750 employees support 200 French and foreign companies every year on applied research projects in four areas: Advanced Manufacturing, Embedded Systems, Data Intelligence and Radiation Control for Health. The CEA LIST teams are also partners with numerous university laboratories, « grandes écoles » and other research organisations through collaborative research projects. They are part of DIGITEO LABS, a scientific campus which brings together more than 1200 researchers specialised in information technologies (CEA, INRIA, CNRS, Supélec, Ecole Polytechnique, Université d'Orsay). Within this institute, the SID (Data Intelligence Service) develops Artificial Intelligence solutions for decision support, user-oriented and automatic supervision of complex systems.
Collaborative projects
Stream-Ops (funded by DataIA): The technological advance in sensors and the development of IoT (Internet of Things) generate a growing number of space-time data to be processsed and analyzed. Karine Zeitouni, Yehia Taher (DAVID Laboratory, Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines University), Sandra Garcia Rodriguez, Mohammad Alshaer, and Cédric Gouy-Pailler (Laboratory of Data Analysis and Systems Intelligence, CEA List) decided to join their skills to propose to the scientific community a new, simple tool for developing powerful Machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms that can handle data flow problems. This tool will apply in particular in the medical field in collaboration with Philippe Aegerter (Inserm UMR 1168) and Marc Fischler (Foch Hospital, Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines University). Trustworthy AI (Confiance.ai):
This project is a big French collective of unprecedented scope to design and industrialize systems based on trusted artificial intelligence, in which CEA participates. Confiance.ai is the technological pillar of the Grand Défi “Securing, certifying and enhancing the reliability of systems based on artificial intelligence” launched by the Innovation Council. It is the largest technological research programme in the #AIforHumanity plan, which is designed to make France one of the leading countries in artificial intelligence (AI). Link
SmartWater4Europe(SW4EU): The SmartWater4Europe project puts in place smart solutions for water distribution, water quality monitoring, leak detection and energy optimization. CEA List intervened in the INCOM and Bio-SMART projects, which are respectively focusing on early leakage detection and early contamination (chlorine concentration) detection, by developing statistical detection algorithms. CEA also contributed to this project with the creation of STREAMER, where those algorithms were tested reproducing the realistic streaming context. Link
